The Enterpras Pro Filtering Server performs as a proxy and automatically filters authentication request packets from users whose authentication is continuously rejected.
By filtering the packets and preventing their transfer to the RADIUS authentication server, it can reduce the load of authentication servers which becomes a problem of many connection service providers.
- Creating blacklist of unauthorized users
It automatically registers in the blacklist the user whose authentication is rejected more than the preset number of times within a certain time period.
The Filtering server does not transfer authentication requests from the users registered in the blacklist to the RADIUS server and returns a response of authentication rejected to them for a certain period.
Ex:) If the user’s authentication is rejected more than 2 times, he/she is registered in the blacklist:
The Filtering server does not perform the inquiry to RADIUS and returns a response of rejection by itself.
- Delay function of authentication rejected response
If there is a device, such as a router, etc., or the situation which requests authentication again immediately after receiving the authentication is rejected, you can delay the response of the authentication rejected to them for a certain period of time by the Filtering server.
